Drive technology on newly built flax pulling machine.
Commissioned by LMB Vermeulen in collaboration with Riemens Mechanisatie from IJzendijke (Zeeuws-Vlaanderen), we recently engineered and installed a completely new electro-hydraulic system for a newly built flax machine.
A complete new-build project
On behalf of LMB Vermeulen, working together with Riemens Mechanisatie, we were brought in as a partner for the realization of the hydraulic drive technology on a brand-new flax pulling machine built by them.
This was a large-scale and challenging project, for which we were responsible for the complete electro-hydraulic system of the machine. This included nearly the entire drive technology as well as the travel and control system, incorporating PLC technology in collaboration with one of our trusted engineering and development partners.
PLC control, in-cab operation, and complete hydraulic actuation
We designed and delivered the full hydraulic system, as the machine operates almost entirely hydraulically. From the wheel motors to the actuation of the mechanical components and assemblies of the pulling head, threshing drum and sieves, discharge tables, and unloading system – all were integrated within the hydraulic design.
Project completed
In the summer of 2024, we successfully completed the project. The machine was then tested and fine-tuned over several days, after which it successfully operated throughout the 2024 flax harvest season.
We look back on this assignment with pride and once again greatly valued the excellent cooperation with all parties involved.
